Lincoln - Mary G. McNally, 78, of Lincoln, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Raymond B. and Germaine A. (Dupuis) McNally, she had mostly resided in Lincoln and Smithfield. She was a graduate of Rhode Island College with a degree in Education, and earned her master's degree from Boston University.
Miss McNally was an educator, teaching in the Cumberland School District at Ashton Elementary School and North Cumberland Middle School, and later serving as principal of Waterman Elementary School, Cranston. She had spent a year abroad in England as part of a teacher exchange, and after retiring from Waterman School, she taught at The American School in the Dominican Republic. She later worked as a real estate agent with Keller Williams Leading Edge, Lincoln.
As a world traveler, Mary enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Europe and China. As an artist, she captured the world around her in many beautiful oil paintings.
She is survived by her sister, Ramona Skelly and her husband Kenneth, of Barrington; her niece and nephew, Meredith Skelly (Christopher Pascale), Kenneth Skelly (Kirsten), her great nephew and great niece, Gavin and Evelyn; her brother, Raymond McNally and his wife Diane, of Cumberland; her nieces, Danielle and Erica; and her dear friend Robert Ciampi.
Mary had a brave and adventurous spirit. She was loyal to and loved by the many friends she cherished throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Historic Saint Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
