Eugene Primeau Obituary

Lincoln - Eugene "Gene" R. Primeau, 89, of Lincoln, died Monday, February 2, 2026 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Paul and Doris (Moreau) Primeau, he had resided in Central Falls for many years, before moving to Lincoln thirty-three years ago.

Mr. Primeau was an instructor and lecturer at the Community College of Rhode Island, where he taught business classes. He also worked for the Pawtucket Chamber of Commerce.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, he also served for many years in the Air Force Reserves and the Rhode Island Air National Guard.

An avid reader, Eugene traveled the world through his books, with reading serving as his greatest adventure and window to places and experiences far beyond his own. He also loved animals and nature, and could often be found feeding the birds and deer, taking great joy in caring for the wildlife around him

He is survived by his brother, Ronald Primeau, and his wife Margaret, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; his niece, Laureen LeMay and her husband Joseph; their children Alisan and Joey; and his niece Janice Day.

At his request, his funeral and burial with military honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, 12 Sanderson Road, Smithfield, RI 02917 would be appreciated.
