Manville - Juliette C. (Letendre) Desrosiers, 99, of Spring Street, died Thursday, March 14, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Placide V. Desrosiers.
Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Adelard and Alice (Soucy) Letendre, she had lived in Manville for the past eighty-seven years.
Mrs. Desrosiers worked for the former Manville-Jenckes Co., Manville, and Coates & Clark Co., Cumberland, and was a cook at the former Fogarty Memorial Hospital, North Smithfield, before retiring.
Juliette loved crafts, including knitting, sewing, quilting and crocheting. Every year she would make crafts for the Fogarty Hospital Guild and the St. James Church Christmas Bazaar.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise Desrosiers of Manville, and Lucille Peloquin of Warwick; two grandchildren, Kenneth Peloquin, and his wife Kristen, and Karen Terwilliger, and her husband Edward; and three great grandchildren, Connor Peloquin, Zoe Peloquin and Zachary Peloquin.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 8:45 am from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Manville. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.
