North Providence - Allen 'Tiny' B. Walker, 74, formerly of North Providence, died Friday, April 5, 2024 at Cra-Mar Meadows, Cranston.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late William and Blanche (Benoit) Walker, he had lived most of his life in Pawtucket and North Providence where you could find him cruising on his Goldwing 1500.
Mr. Walker worked for many years for Hasbro, and later worked as a heating & cooling technician for Brennan Oil Co. before retiring. He was a Vietnam War veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps
Al was a devoted father of two, never missing an event in their lives but really found his calling as Pepere to his four grandchildren. Al was a big kid so it came easy to him to spend endless hours playing with them, over celebrating holidays (even dressing up on Halloween) and attending all of their life events, special or not. Not only was Al a role model to prove that presence is the greatest gift one can give but he was a true testament of showing kids and adults alike that you can still have fun as an adult.
A longtime and loyal friend of Bill W. for over thirty-five years, 'Tiny' served this community endlessly in every capacity that one can who has dedicated themselves to the program but none more important than being available and ready to assist quite often using his humor to help people stay the course.
